Mohair is the fibre from Angora Goats. It is grown in most states of Australia and is collected from producers and pooled into lots for sale to processors via buyers.

Established In Narrandera, New South Wales, Australia in 1978, the Australian Mohair Marketing Organisation is Australia's largest mohair broker and is a not-for-profit, producer controlled company, dedicated to maximising value for Australia's mohair producers.

Our company's function is to collect, sort and pool mohair from the many producers around Australia into uniform lines that conform to the Australian Classing Standards.

Our policy is to render support to the mohair industry and its participants, in a manner that benefits both the mohair producing community and the company itself ensuring a viable future for Australian Mohair in the world market.
