The Australian Mohair Marketing Organisation Ltd is Australia's
leading
mohair classing and broking firm.
We are a grower controlled, not-for-profit organisation founded in Narrandera,
N.S.W. in 1978.
A.M.M.O. Ltd acts as a broker on behalf of mohair producers. Classed
fibre prepared by professional technical staff is offered to the Trade
at the completion of each pool. Proceeds are distributed to producers
once the appropriate charges have been deducted.
We strive to command the highest possible price for our producers.
We maintain excellent standards in classing to ensure the producer's product
realises its full potential.
Supporting the mohair industry...
We provide sponsorship to groups who demonstrate that their programmes
and
activities are aimed at attracting new producers to the industry.
In addition we sponsor programmes aimed at improving the product and
increasing production.
We offer an animal selection service to members and producers. Our staff
will attend sales with the producer to assist in selecting an animal that
will improve fibre quality.
